JSSGS which was founded in June 2002, has worked for the development of sport gender studies, and the restructure of the academic study of sport and physical education. To achieve these goals we hold periodical conferences; publish research journals; and release information on our webpage.
In July 2005 JSSGS changed its Japanese name and our operation is fuller yet. We hope that we can have researchers, educators, administrators, sport coaches, athletes, sport fans, as well as students in sport related majors in our fifth congress which will be held as follows:

7. Application for the Presentations of Research

- Application is limited to the studies that are related to sport and gender, completed and unpublished.
- Time for presentation: 15 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for question period
- If you wish to give a presentation please apply for both days.

8. Distribution of Program
A program will be distributed at the congress. If you apply for the congress but you cannot attend, the program will be mailed to you after the congress. However, the application fee cannot be refunded.
